It's no secret on the net that I made the switch from YTB to TraVerus Travel. Nothing personal. Nothing bad to say about YTB. It was a business decision for my family. I'm so Glad I did it. TraVerus is more affordable in this economy and people are having a hard time finding people to invest $500 in this economy. Its just a fact! TraVerus is more affordable and easier to duplicate. Like I tell everyone it does not cost $500 to get into the travel industry. It costs $500 to fund a compensation plan that pays the upline. It's not rocket science. Here are some of the reasons I chose TraVerus!

I joined with YTB with the idea of starting a home-based business and generating passive/residual income, PLUS I wanted to save on my own personal travel and taxes. YTB is a great company with a great opportunity and great leadership. Though YTB appears to offer a good compensation plan, there are flaws.

The three major problems with the marketing plan ...

#1 Cost! $500.00 + $149 and a 7 hour day for your CRTA training! Total $649.00
#2 6 up program, you need to give up your first 6 to get to your power team (the average person only sponsors 2-3 people)
#3 95% of the people never get to the residual income, because they never get to their power team.

I was introduced to TraVerus a couple of times but didn't look at it seriously until 1 month ago because of emotional ties to YTB. I put a lot into it and I had met a lot of great people in YTB, people that I had a lot of respect and admiration for. But once I looked at it hard, I had to make the switch over to TraVerus. I had to let go my emotions and make a business decision. After all, I am in business.

Just a couple of great examples when you compare the compensation plans and start-up costs:

YTB pays 60% travel commission... of the only 8% to 10% booked through the site! Outside the site pays more.
TraVerus pays 65% travel commission to RTC's and 75% travel comission to CTA's... of the only 8% to 10% booked through the site! Outside the site pays more.

YTB pays $50.00 on a $500 start up cost as an RTA plus an additional $149 to be a CRTA (You can’t become a CTA with YTB).
TraVerus pays $50.00-$100 on a $119.95 start up cost as an RTC or $399.95 start up cost as a CTA (Certified Travel Agent).

YTB pays a 50% matching bonus after you enroll three people.
TraVerus pays 150% matching coded bonus on your first two enrollment's then 100% from your third on.

YTB pays $2.00 per month residual income per person from your 7th person on that are coded to you in your power team.
TraVerus pays you $5.00 per month residual from your 3rd person and on all people coded to you from those enrollments. TraVerus also pays you 100% matching residual on every person you enroll.

YTB pays $2.00 per month residual in your dream team first generation then progressively less.
TraVerus pays in a forced matrix bonus, in addition to the $5.00 coded residual bonus, $6.00 per month 2nd generation, $10.00 a month 3rd generation, $5.00 month 4th generation, $4.00 a month 5th & 6th generation and more on the same people!

For instance: If you had 100 travel stores in your down line in YTB, your residual income would be $188 per month because you have to give up your first 6, then you get $2 per store for the other 94. If you had the same 100 travel stores in your down line in TraVerus, your residual income would be about $1,074 or more per month because you get $5 per store on the front end plus the residual created on the back end as described above (forced matrix). This will be paid to you month after month after month after month after month... and so on.

YTB is only open in 4 countries (US, Bahamas, Canada and Bermuda) ...
TraVerus is open in 98 countries including US, Australia, Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, Germany, Nigeria etc…

YTB has a 40% retention rate...
TraVerus has 85-90% retention rate…

YTB has about 137,000 paying reps in US...
TraVerus has 12,000 agents in 30 countries with 68 more in which to do business! Which means you can get in at an early stage and be a part of the huge growth! This is a true ground floor opportunity!

YTB has been in business and doing network marketing for 7 years.
TraVerus has been in the travel business 26 years total; just 1 year in network marketing.

Finally, In the Right Place At the Right Time!

Since before I was of legal working age, according to United States labor laws, I was thinking of ways to become financially free. I watched my parents, day after day, exchange hours for wages. They suffered from extreme exhaustion and had back and feet problems. They barely earned enough to pay the bills and sustain the household. So, at the age of 15, I started a job at a fast food restaurant, Burger King, to help lift some of the burden from my parents. I left home at 18 years of age to attend college at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I would return home 3 years later with a new outlook on life and a few more skills. I got a job with a local contractor to put air-condiontioning units in some offices at a hospital along with some other remodeling work. The contractor shared the profits with me and the other 2 guys that worked with me. A couple of years later, the jobs stop coming in. So, I started work with the US Postal Service and then on to the railroad. When I saw the business structure of the railroad, it dawned on me. I need to start my own business. I thought to myself, I'm going to need some start-up money. And when I start my business, I'll share the profits with the people who go into business with me just like the contractor did that I worked with. I didn't want to call them employees because employees exchange hours for wages, and most are disgruntled because they will never earn what their efforts are worth. I tried door-to-door sales. I met my wife doing this. So, it wasn't a total lost. Together, we tried investment groups and took real estate classes hoping to make some quick money in that field. My wife was beginning to get frustrated, although she would never say anything. In May of 2007, we found YTB. I thought, this is it! There was a low start-up cost, $500, low overhead, and we could help other people and leverage our income at the same time. After 13 months, we had only helped 8 others, seven of which gave up because they weren't making any money. The $500 start-up cost was a little too much with the economy being in its current condition. Then, we received an email from a friend that read, "YTB Competition." It was Traverus. I researched it and did comparisons to find that Traverus has a considerable lower start-up cost and they were doing business in 98 different countries; YTB is only in 3. The compensation plan in Traverus is also better than YTB's compensation plan. So, we decided to give Traverus a try while we held our position in YTB (Shhhh!). Within the first 3 days, we produced 50% of what it took us 13 months to do in YTB. I think we made a great decision by joining Traverus, and we look forward to working with you and many others. We're finally in the Right Place at the Right Time!

Wise Business Decision!!!

I'd like to start by saying, I have nothing negative to say about YTB. When I made the decision to join YTB, it was a wise decision for me and my family, at the time. The compensation plan is great, and you'd benefit tremendously if you reach the bonus levels. I thought YTB was the best thing since sliced bread until I discovered Traverus Travel. Now I know that some things are better. After 1 year in YTB, I only helped 8 other people start their organizations, 7 of which gave up because they didn't make any money and 1 who made very little money, but stuck by me anyway. Within my first 3 days in Traverus, I helped 4 people start their organizations. By the end of my first week I was a Regional Executive.
